Best South Carolina LLC Services in 2024 – Forbes Advisor

Features

One feature that sets Active Filings apart from many other LLC services is the international packages it offers. With these packages, business owners from other countries can start a business in Delaware, Florida and Wyoming.

All Active Filings plans, including the two international ones, include a year of registered agent services. Since all South Carolina LLCs are required to assign a registered agent, the addition of these services for a year can offer valuable savings.

Active Filings offers three plans with many of the same features as other LLC services such as incorporation services. In addition to the free Starter plan, there are also two paid plan options, The Sprinter and The Finisher, which add on other features including a business address, an EIN and expedited processing. The Finisher plan adds other premium features such as a corporate seal and a corporate book.

Pricing

Active Filings offers three domestic plans and two international plans. The domestic plans include the free Starter plan (plus the $110 South Carolina filing fee), The Sprinter plan ($100 plus the $110 South Carolina filing fee) and The Finisher plan ($250 plus the $110 South Carolina filing fee). The features included with each of these plans vary, but all three come with a free year of registered agent services, which is something you won’t find with all LLC services.

There are two international plan options, the Silver package and the Gold package, which cost $999 plus state fees and $1,499 plus state fees, respectively. While these packages are much more expensive than the domestic plan options, they can help you make sure you adhere to the necessary filing requirements and legal considerations.

Customer Service

Active Filings customers can reach customer service by email or phone; the company does not offer live chat support. Support is available Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET.

Active Filings also offers an Incorporation Help Center with more information about incorporating requirements in each state, advantages of incorporating a business, processing times by state, frequently asked questions and free downloads and business checklists.

Reputation

Despite being founded more than 20 years ago, Active Filings isn’t as popular or well known as many other LLC services. There are no reviews for it on Trustpilot and only a few dozen Google reviews. Of those reviewers, most are satisfied with the services they received, as the overall rating for Active Filings is 4.5 stars. On the Better Business Bureau’s website, Active Filings has a less-than-average rating. However, this is only based on two reviews. The company has a B- rating from the BBB.
